Description

Our client is a leading UK driverless vehicle and mobility company expanding internationally and on a mission to find the very best people to be part of our success and join the driverless revolution that will disrupt and transform the world of transport.

Due to year on year growth they are recruiting an experienced Safety Lead.

Roles:

Leading a team of engineers to advance the whole safety for an autonomous vehicle.
The successful applicant will be responsible for creating an architecture of the whole safety procedures compliant with all safety standards.
Validation of prototypes (vehicles and components)
Ensure all potential hazards are considered for each of Autonomous vehicle products
Understanding of the multidisciplinary nature of the team and represent best practice in safety to tackle each of the teams challenges
Documenting Safety cases for trials, overall product from component level to the whole vehicle.
Responsible for meeting all vehicle safety certification e.g.

FMVSS208, Euro NCAP etc.

Essential Requirements:

Solid Understanding of safety principles including risk management, and safety engineering tools
Familiarity with UK code of Practice and relevant safety standards including PAS 1881, other standards from the PAS series and SAE J301
Experience with automotive safety systems integration or component safety
Excellent writing skills to maintain safety case development
Strong Communication skills
Proven Experience in documenting, reviewing and maintaining high quality safety documents and reports

Nice to have requirements:

Experience working with Autonomous vehicles and deployment of Autonomous Driving
Experience with risk management tools such as FMEAs
