Main purpose of the post
To develop a broad curriculum of activities at the club in line with Citizenship, Art, Sport, Health & Welsh which provides information, guidance and advice to young people

To build and develop professional working relationships with young people colleagues and partners.


To manage and develop the youth club to become a fun and safe environment which aids social inclusion and participation.


Main duties and responsibilities

  • To support the activity workers to deliver projects and activities in line with CASHW which includes DoE and youth forum
  • To support young people to become involved in the design, delivery and evaluation of services and activities at the youth club
  • To ensure that local authority policies and procedures are observed in respect to child protection, equal opportunities, health and safety and the implementation of the Probationary Scheme
  • Ensure that the out of hours reporting procedures are followed if any concerns regarding grievances, incidents/accidents, complaints, disciplinary action or child protection arise
  • To undertake all administrative and financial duties in accordance with the local authorities policy for auditing purposes
  • To attend three worker in charge and three pre term meetings per year
  • Maintain up to date knowledge in the field of Youth and Community Work through undertaking training including the three per term training events
  • To support the activity workers in delivering projects/activities which broaden horizons and promote community cohesion
  • To attend and carry out Employment Development Reviews annually and identify training and staff development needs and provide supervision when necessary

Welsh language:
Welsh language skills are desirable
