As one of the largest delivery teams in Defence Digital, the Tactical Systems Delivery Team (TacSys) is responsible for the delivery and in-service management of a range of tactical/deployable communications capabilities supporting the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:


  • We are looking for an individual who is highly organised with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines. You must have the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels and maintain a high level of confidentiality.

Person specification:


  • Diary
  • Effective and efficient diary management, responding promptly to change, anticipating problems, and devising solutions.
  • Coordination and provision of relevant papers in a timely manner, using own initiative and business knowledge to prioritise.
Provision of meeting rooms and organisation of attendees.

  • Manage hospitality record for principal.


  • Travel

  • Research and analyse cost effective transport and hotel options within Departmental policy including producing business cases.
  • Arrange and coordinate all travel requirements.
- (flights/accommodation/visas/passports etc). Consult, co-ordinate and confirm with principal(s)/key stakeholders to align with all requirements.

  • Information Management
  • Execution of all information management tasks including appropriate oversight of official, sensitive, and other classified information.

This post is based at ABW Abbey Wood - Bristol.


However, the role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station) and working from home as a personal choice.

If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
