The role:

As a key member of the Capital Management team, this role will contribute to the delivery of the function's key objectives: - the development of tools and the performance of quantitative analysis - to aid strategic decision-making by the business, and - the provision of consultancy support - to determine the capital implications of new initiatives, and establish proposals to maximise capital efficiency.


Key accountabilities:

  • Provide informative MI and supporting analysis in respect of Available and required Capital
  • as required for management, regulators, rating agencies and other stakeholders.
  • Be responsible for the quarterly runs and analysis of relevant Rating Agency models (i.e. "S&P" and "AMBest")
  • sourcing inputs, owning calculation processes, and presenting outputs.
  • Assist in the delivery of relevant aspects of the Bermuda Monetary Authority ("BMA") Model requirements.
  • Develop and enhance tools
  • using Excel modelling outputs and/or other relevant tools
  • to facilitate the production and utilisation of the MI and modelling outputs noted above.
  • Assist on ad-hoc capital projects to support our strategic objectives
  • e.g. identify capital efficiencies, propose treatment for non-standard items, & respond to key stakeholder requests.
