An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Medical Education Team at St Mary's Hospital for a substantive role supporting Simulation team in delivery of annual teaching programme and provides a great exposure to work with various clinical teams and colleagues across the Trust.


The main responsibility of the post will be to provide administrative support to the Simulation Training Manager and Clinical Simulation leads to organise and support the skills and simulation team.

The role will be one which includes daily interaction with junior doctors, higher trainees, consultants and other members of the trust.

As such, one of the main qualities we will be looking for are people skills such as great written and oral communication.

Therefore, somebody with client facing or customer service experience would be a great fit.


The successful applicant will help with the organisation of in-house Skills, Simulation and ALS course date for the junior medical staff.

The post holder will work closely with the simulation officer, medical education team and the rota coordinators. You will be required to manage excel spread sheets on a daily basis. Attention to detail, organisational skills and experience in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook are crucial.


The role will provide a comprehensive and quality administration service to the Skills and Simulation Team and medical education team.

The post-holder will be based at Mary's Hospital site (0.6 WTE, 3 days a week) during the provision of service as Simulation Administrator/ Technical Support Officer and will need to be flexible with supporting Postgraduate education team across the trust (0.4 WTE).


They will manage and prioritise their workload, liaising closely with the Skills and Simulation team, other administration staff and management in the medical education team.

This role will involve organisation and administration of the skills and simulation training days for junior doctors and medical students
