JOB DESCRIPTION - Relief Personal Assistant
A fun loving young lady with a great sense of humour from Stow near Galashiels is looking to

recruit a one to one personal assistant for 4 hours on a Friday as relief cover, due to her

permanent PA currently being off for the time being. The client is autistic with a learning

disability that needs structure and routines she has a communications passport to introduce

and learn key information in regards to her care and support; she is therefore looking for

the right person who has the skills and experience to support her. Awareness of triggers

and identify strategies to reduce sensory overload.


THE JOB

  • Previous experience with autism is essential, the clients mum can provide all
information relevant to the client's needs

  • To build a good relationship with the client
  • To be respectful of the needs a disability can bring

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Cheerful/positive/proactive individual
  • Ability to use own initiative
  • You must be honest, trustworthy and reliable
  • You must be patient and sensitive to the client's needs

HOURS OF WORK
FLEXIBLE

  • Fridays for a block of 4 hours

TERMS OF THE ROLE
- £11.50 per hour, mileage negotiable

  • Paid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata
