Protocol Education are seeking a Care Officer to join a SEND provision in Chigwell.

This role is for a Residential school, supporting specialist students who have Social/ Emotional/ Mental Health needs from the ages of 5- 11 years.

You must also be empathetic and have a good understanding or background in special educational needs or Social emotional, mental health.

Resilience and hard work are a must. An outdoors/sports/activity co-ordinator background would also be great, as this role entails a lot of outdoors activities.


Duties would include-

  • Providing quality care for children in a residential setting
  • Assisting in developing and implementing care plans for each child, ensuring their physical, therapeutic, emotional, and social needs are met
  • Carrying out daily activities such as meals, recreational activities, and educational programs
  • Ensuring the health and wellbeing of children, such as administering medication as needed
  • Maintaining accurate records of each child's progress, behaviour, and any incidents that occur
  • Working with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a comprehensive approach to their wellbeing

Hours-
Monday 14:00- 20:30

Tuesday & Wednesday 07:00 - 09:30, returning at 14:30 - 20:30

Thursday 07:00 - 10:00, returning at 12:00 - 20:30

Friday 07:00 - 15:00

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
