Right now, the charity are recruiting for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join them.

The role will work pro-actively with women from the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Communities who have experienced domestic violence and abuse offering risk assessed, strength based and needs led support to help women, children and teenagers live life free from domestic abuse, improve their safety and reduce re-victimisation.

This is a full time, fixed term contract and offers a salary of £25,668 - £27,239.


Here in the UK 1 in 3 women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime and this charity supports those women and children in Nottingham experiencing or escaping it.


They are an ambitious and resourceful charity, passionate about helping women and their children move forward to live their lives free from abuse.

In a year, they answer around 10,000 calls on their helpline, support over 6,000 women and 260 children.


The role:


As a Domestic abuse Support Worker, you will provide high quality casework support to women, it is important applicants have a really good understanding of and commitment to anti-discriminatory working practices and are committed to the empowerment of women.


The charity would be particularly interested in hearing from you if you have an IDVA or DAPA qualification or the willingness and ability to attend this training and successfully achieve the qualification.


An enhanced DBS and police vetting clearance along with a full UK driving licence with access to your own vehicle which is insured for business use is essential for this role.
