The New Business Sales Director is a key senior management leadership role and will be crucial to integrating a large number of contracts as the next phase of growth relies on developing the enterprise account portfolio, driving increased opportunity and ensuring retention.
This role is key to the successful growth for Babington and has one primary objective: To develop the enterprise client portfolio, delivering profitable revenue growth with the opportunity to work with a wider leadership team covering growth strategy development, key account new client growth and transactional programme sales.
Brief Summary of Principle Accountabilities
- Develop and execute a new sales/business development strategy to achieve revenue growth targets for Enterprise clients across the whole Babington portfolio.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients, working in collaboration with Marketing to engage with prospects.
- Taking a consultative approach to developing client relationships, leading on the development of a strategy to meet and exceed financial and all other performance KPIs.
- Be an experienced leader and manager with a passion for delivering excellence in customer service, whilst driving forward profitable business expansion.
- Ensure monthly targets are achieved for all direct reports, as well as developing additional opportunities and enrolments through your own Business Development.
- Identify new clients with the scope and potential to develop long term strategic partnerships.
- To develop strong professional relationships with key strategic clients, operating at a Senior level in a highprofile role and/or environment.
- Provide accurate forecasts and relevant management information reports to inform the CGO and business about performance, liaising with Operational leads to ensure organisational design is aligned.
- Accountable to c. £2m Lifetime Learner Value (LLV) and c. 450 start annually for new logo opportunities is achieved.

Qualifications
- Grade A-C GCSE in English and Maths or equivalent
- Degree in Business Related specialism
- Level 6 Institute of Sales Management Diploma in Strategic Sales Management
Skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience of B2B sales/business development in a senior role
- Experience of delivering a bespoke client implementation of solutions
- Experience of liaising with employers and external agencies
- Experience of building a portfolio of clients
- Experience of successfully undertaking operational needs analysis for clients
- Knowledge of sales methodologies and best practice
- Knowledge of learning sector both funded and commercial learning
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
