We're looking for a
Procurement Specialist to help us take our sourcing projects and supplier relationships to the next level.

Reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, you'll play a vital role in driving our business forward.

If you're great at building strong relationships, creating solid connections with stakeholders through collaboration whilst negotiating like a pro, bargaining on prices, payments, insurances, and liabilities then you need to get in touch


Working flexibly, you'll spend most of your time working from home, with a couple of days a month in the office.

But of course, it's your choice - if you prefer to be in the office more - that's good with us too.

So living a commutable distance to our offices in
Salford Quays, Manchester or
Haywards Heath, West Sussex is a must


You'll be the perfect person for us if:

  • You're CIPS-qualified or working on it, that's a big plus
  • You've proven experience in Procurement, ideally in insurance or financial services
  • You're a master at managing relationships and stakeholders

Responsibilities:


  • Coordinating and supporting a variety of supplier commercial and contractual initiatives in line with the agreed category strategy
  • Supporting the business in all contractual and supplier management queries, reporting and associated activities
  • Supporting tactical and strategic sourcing projects via approved channels and facilitating storage of associated contracts
  • Contributing towards savings target agreed with Management
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders through proactive engagement and collaboration
  • Identifying and selecting suitable vendors for various business needs
  • Negotiating commercial terms, including price, payment terms, insurances, and liabilities
  • Contributing to the development and enhancement of procurement processes and strategies
  • Adhering to procurement processes, policies, and procedures
  • Supporting the Buying Purchasing system across the organisation including identifying trends and analysing cost reduction opportunities and process improvements to achieve value for money
  • Promoting best practice across the organisation, ensuring procurement procedures are in line with regulations as well as advising departments in response to request for policy advice, contract support and template documents
  • Collaborating with the wider business partners to develop pillar sourcing plans
  • Comply with the requirements, and act in accordance with, the Group Code of Conduct and Fitness and Propriety policies at all times
  • Ensure compliance with Company Policies, Values and guidelines and other relevant standards/ regulations at all time

Experience and Skills:


  • Proven experience working as a procurement specialist, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills and stakeholder management skills
  • Demonstrable project management experience
  • Effective negotiation and problemsolving abilities
  • Experience in executing projects of all levels by utilising procurement experience
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, working across short
- and long-term projects

  • Assertiveness, high tenacity, ability to work in a team as well as in a selfmotivated and flexible way towards agreed objectives
  • Strategic and flexible mindset with analytical and resultoriented thinking
  • Proactive and positive approach to work, taking ownership and initiative where appropriate
  • Ability to extract, manipulate and present data using visualization to support recommendations
  • Keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Good problem solving skills with ability to translate issues and seek resolutions
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines CIPS qualified or working
