Security Operations (Team Lead / Manager)

Location:
Edinburgh

Hybrid working - 1/2 days a week in office

Joining a forward-looking security operations team, you will focus on ensuring continued success, growing team capacity and criticallyoptimizing existing procedures, driving innovation and automation.

As a successful Operations lead your responsibilities will include:

Leading initiatives on the prevention, detection, and response to Cyber related events
Championing continuous improvement and innovation
Seeking opportunities for process automation
Analysing patterns and trends to influence upstream and downstream business activities
Drive business engagement and work to build relationships with the wider business
Working with common enterprise IT security controls and practices
Reporting to key business and technology stakeholders

As a successful Operations lead you will require:

Demonstrable current career experience in the leadership or management of Security Operations
An ability to form, storm and improve teams in SOC / Security event Management
Technical exposure and understanding of; SIEM tools; DDoS protection tools; Identity & Access Management tools; EDR tools;
Familiarity with; Endpoint security; Anti-Virus, Security in the Cloud; DLP
Familiarity with common security frameworks NIST, ISO, CIS, COBIT etc
Career long learning an relevant IT security qualifications.
Strong Stakeholder engagement.
Strong communication skills both technical and nontechnical
Demonstratable team leadership skills

Reward:

Salary is are dependent on experience and breadth of technical know-how, ranging from £65,000 - £85,000, with an extensive benefits package including, Bonus, Pension, flexible holidays and a broad range of unique life-style benefits.
