My client is an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor-owned Energy company in the world.

They are currently looking for a Team Administrator on a 6-month contract based from home with once per week requirement in the Wokinghamoffice.


Job Purpose:


To provide a comprehensive support service to the Head of Network Access Planning, and the wider Network Access Planning Leadership team.

You will provide meeting and calendar support to the Head of Network Access Planning, and work with the wider leadershipteam and to ensure the Head of Network Access Planning has the right information to drive the performance of the Network Access Planning team.

This role is instrumental to our journey towards zero carbon operation.

You will work across the ESO, and with external customers and stakeholders, to ensure the Network Access Planning team is delivering effectively.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Act on own initiative to organise meetings and manage diary to maximise Head of Network Access Planning time and make effective use of travel/transport arrangements. Assist where required for Network Access Planning Leadership Team.
  • Provide support and assist in providing an effective service to contribute to the achievement of objectives of the team;
- providing support and assisting with preparation of communications, presentations and analysis.

  • Coordinate and provide effective events and project management to adhoc projects within the team as requested.
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing the Network Access Planning leadership team hub.
  • Responsible for inducting all new starters and graduates into the department. Ensure that all new starters obtain security pass to building and that PC, telephone etc. are arranged for commencement of work within the team. Arranging wider induction withother National Grid employees.
  • Responsible for Consultant/Contractor budget and invoice management. Ensure invoices are authorised and processed in accordance with procedure.
  • Raise (or assist in raising) Purchase Orders across the teams, ensuring all requirements have been met.
  • Monitor team Business Procedure Documentation Update and Business Improvement Requests and provide support to the management team to meet associated deadlines.
  • Manage Network Access Planning Leadership Team monthly meeting cadence, rota and agree Agenda with Network Access Planning and external presenters/invitees.

Skills and Experience Required:


  • Good experience of office systems including MS Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Experience of liaising with senior members of staff, internally and externally
  • Excellent organisation, administrative and communication skills
