The Opportunity:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our partner SEN school in Wirral.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with SEN.

This is a September start position, allowing you to make a significant impact from the beginning of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

Provide oneonone and small group support to students with SEN, assisting with their learning and personal development.
Support the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons to cater to the diverse needs of students.
Foster a safe and nurturing learning environment where students feel valued, encouraged, and supported.
Assist with the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to education.
Observe and record student progress, behaviour, and achievements, providing feedback to the class teacher.

Requirements:

Experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting (desired but not essential).
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN in their educational journey.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs of students and the changing demands of the classroom.
A proactive and positive approach to learning and professional development.

To be considered for this position you will:

have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
Be a committed professional
Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person

- have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;

Have the legal right to work in the UK.
