As a People Service Assistant, you will be responsible in supporting and advising the Director or people and Culture as well as the wider people services team Compiling Information and prepare documents in a variety of formats you will have the responsibility for ensuring all governance reports and actions are tracked and maintained for the function in addition to providing personal assistant support to the director.

Part of this exciting opportunity you will be a key Member of the People Leadership Team, you will attend and record all meetings.

Manage plans, learn and develop your Knowledge of HR and support to PLT joiners/movers/leavers processes to ensure timely submission of information and ensuring have right resources and kit.


So, who are you?


You must have the ability to create and organise, initiatives, events, meetings, and communications and develop and lead engagement sessions, liaising with suppliers as required.

Have a Proven track record of providing administrative services and experience of administration and proficient with Microsoft packages including Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, as well as being a strong team player who can work Flexibly to meet customer and business requirements.

Although not Essential it is desirable to have Experience in a HR function and a desire to develop a career within HR.

Job Purpose


Our People Services Assistant supports and advises the Director of People & Culture and the wider People Services Team with all aspects of administration and coordination activities to support service delivery and employee engagement.

In addition, the individual will also provide support on People Services projects and the Reward and Policy Team

Role Responsibilities

  • Compile information and prepare documents in a variety of formats; and be responsible for ensuring all governance reports and actions are tracked and maintained for the function, in addition to providing Personal Assistant (PA) support to the Director and other members of the leadership Team as required.
  • A key member of People Leadership Team (PLT), the individual will attend and record all meetings, manage plans, learn, and develop their knowledge of HR and provide support to PLT joiners/movers/leavers processes to ensure timely submission of information and ensuring have right resources and kit.
  • As a key part of the Reward & Policy Team provide support in the delivery of initiatives, projects, and processes, undertaking assigned activities and driving forward to conclusion in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Be responsible for all People Services communication and engagement events and be the wellbeing champion, including organising meetings and conferences; booking venues, accommodation, catering, transportation, and any other resources to ensure they meet requirements and operate efficiently. Will also be responsible for supporting Riverside wide events.
  • Prepare communications and maintain the service's intranet site as required, ensuring that the document library is compliant with the relevant protocols and that content is accurate and well organized
  • Respond flexibly to any necessary changes in work priorities and undertake other duties when required to support the effective operation of the service across the employee lifecycle, including project delivery, keying information to the People Services system, peer checking and processing of documentation / information, photocopying, resolving queries from colleagues and mail handling.
  • Perform budget management activities; including processing invoices and monitoring expenditure against budget and oversee the ordering of office supplies, ensuring goods are receipted and invoices are processed in accordance with procedures to ensure that sites are adequately resourced.
