First Achieve's Engineering Division have partnered with a specialist supplier to the automotive industry, who have a global reach within their sector.

We are seeking an Experienced Continuous Improvement Specialist to assist the business in continuing &improving on their strengths across their facilities in South Lanarkshire.


They are looking to enhance their operational excellence through continuous improvement of processes and ways of working. You will be an addition to their Continuous Improvement team & be involved in the development of a CI strategy, implementingsolutions across all operational areas.

- £30,000 - £40,000 dependent on experience

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Define and drive the site continuous improvement actions, the goal of which is to improve running efficiency/outputs of designated manufacturing products/processes
  • Support and drive Kaizen events, 5S, Green and Yellow belts and Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Be a catalyst/facilitator for improvement
  • Work closely with the NPI team in relation to new products/processes and their effective introduction to production
  • Manage Production Trainers to ensure the validation of new and current employees and their ability to perform required tasks according to SOP's/Procedures/Procedure Sheets/Work Instructions
  • Maintain accurate and up to date Training (group and individual) records
  • Manage Induction for new starters
  • Active participation in their goal to achieve zero accidents and incidents by:
  • ensuring our Operator training content focuses on health, safety and environmental obligations, for example Safe Systems of Work
  • Support other Production based activities where appropriate

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Good problem solver
  • Able to spot opportunities for improvement and translate ideas into actions
  • Good communicator, comfortable talking to a range of people within organisation
  • Some training experience would be good but not essential
  • 6 sigma/green belt qualified
  • An engineering degree/qualification would be helpful
