We are looking for a 20 hour per week mini bus driver/caretaker to join our team.


You would be responsible for completing vehicle checks, driving the day centre mini bus to collect Clients from their homes, with support of a Passenger Assistance Carer/escort to support you.

Ensuring the clients are safely seated on the mini bus or if a client is a wheelchair user, using the wheel chair lift, secure the clients wheelchair using wheelchair clamps, safely fit their seat belt securely and bring the clients to the day centre.

The afternoon shift would be escorting the clients back home.

Report any defects of the vehicle to the Manager. Complete records of checks, ensure the bus is washed and cleaned and is fully fuelled.

A Full and clean driving licence with D1 is essential, Mini bus training and wheelchair clamping will be given.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday working a two week rota:

  • Week
  • Monday to Friday 8am till 12 o clock.
  • Week
- Monday to Friday 12 o clock till 4pm.

  • There might be an opportunity to work three full days instead of five half days.
