£43,513 pro rata based on a 42 hour FTE per week.
Hours:
x2 24 hours per week. Rota basis, Flexible seven day rota 12hrs - 9am to 9pm

The role of SOE is critical in providing victims of sexual assault with the dedicated support and care required. You will be known as a Forensic Nurse Examiner.
We're looking for caring and compassionate RN's, Midwifes, RMN's or Paramedics to join us as Sexual Offence Examiner to provide holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault.
As a Forensic Nurse Examiner you'll receive full training and support to become a qualified Forensic Practitioner, with further opportunities to undertake additional higher education after one year in-post.
Job Opportunity
The Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) will be responsible for providing a holistic sexual assault examination services within our SARC's as part of a 24/7 rota.

Duties will include, but are not limited to, providing telephone advice to patients and colleagues

Undertaking Holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health & safeguarding:

Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits

Use of a camera system to document injuries
:

Information sharing where appropriate
:

Producing individual management plans

Essential Skills
Essential Skills Required:

Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, Paramedic
:

A minimum of 3 years + relevant post qualification experience
:

Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults
:

Knowledge and understanding of confidentiality
:
-
Phlebotomy skills
:
-
Experience of autonomous working
:

Whilst the position may be based from one location, additional travel may be a requirement of the role across SARC's, therefore a UK driving license is required for this role and access to a vehicle

Advanced DBS and level 2 Police vetting will be required.
