As a result of this growth, an opening has become available for a Billing & Data Specialist to jointhe Business Support Metering Team within our Operations department.

With a clear Group strategy to become a more sustainable business, investing in both our people and our systems, we are keen to speak to data driven individuals who have experience in presenting data in clear and practical reports and are looking to becomea Subject Matter Expert (SME).

You will be assisting with the operational workload of the Business Support Metering Team, including analysing root cause issues, and aiding in resolving and implementing change for day to day or continuous improvement.

This will also include industry compliance,and analysis on the various post work delivery areas including invoicing, jobs result data and industry related data.

Development opportunities

Responsibilities

Investigate and analyse business situations and process issues to identify and evaluate options for clearing disputes or queries with continuous improvement and change management in mind.
Gather business requirements to ensure continued effectiveness and excellence of the business processes.
Independently and within the team, work in objectively analysing and documenting existing processes, systems and participate in their development and implementation.
Collaborate with business operations teams and technical staff to gather and document business and functional requirements and support the creation of detailed functional specifications where needed.
Support the development of user acceptance test plans. Assist in functional and user acceptance testing.
Support the development and delivery of user training, including documentation ensuring that an appropriate document control process is used.
Ensure our quality standards and project methodologies are achieved and excelled upon.
Aiding in communication between other industry agents and the team. This will include any escalated complex requests from other agents.
Liaising with our managed service team to resolve queries from industry parties in a timely manner.
Adhering to contractual and industry driven deadlines.
Understanding, analysing, and producing operational and management reports.
Developing, testing, implementing, and delivering training on new business processes and functionality.
Ensuring job result data accuracy and processing through to billing.
Aiding in maintenance of financial reference data in the invoicing system. This will include quality control.

What we are looking for

Good level of general education (minimum GCSE level including English & Maths or equivalent).
Previous experience of presenting data in clear and practical report formats. Any previous experience of metering industry processes & procedures, using custom/in house database management systems, using SQLQuery Tools to interrogate database systems wouldbe desirable.
Excellent data analysis and investigation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to define clear work instructions for use by others and present a professional image to both internal and external customers.
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Software and Oracle Database systems
No unspent criminal convictions (able to pass a DBS check).
