Description

We are looking for an individual to assist the team with preparation work on material for our busy machine shop.

The job will be based our premises in Cumbernauld G68 9HF.

Job Tasks:

Keep the shop clean, tidy and free from hazards
Cutting Metal to length + cleaning in preparation for machine operators
Drilling holes using hand drills & pillar drills
Deliver and collect materials/components from customer's / suppliers facilities
Putting stock away
Assist with the loading and unloading of materials
Aid machinists in their duties as and when required
General workshop tasks and housekeeping

Skills Required:

Use of grinders / chop saw / band saw / pillar drill / hand power tools
Attention to detail and skilled at using a measuring tape to accurately mark, cut and drill

- working from cutting lists/drawings

Qualifications:

Driving Licence (essential)

Forklift license (desirable)

This is a full time position where the working hours are Monday to Thursday 7am-3.30pm and Friday 7am-2.00pm

Salary:
£10.50-£12.50 per hour
