A leading healthcare provider require a Payroll Specialist/Standalone Payroll Manager to join their finance department on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will take full responsibility of the daily management of the payroll department.This is a continuously developing role and requires an experienced payroll professional able to adapt with the role, whilst also recommending and implementing new policies, procedures and systems.
Responsibilities
- Full management of payroll for employees paid monthly
- Reviewing existing payroll processes and making changes where requires
- Reviewing current systems in place and making recommendations for improvement or change
- Timesheet management from multiple sites, including querying and adjusting discrepancies
- Setting up new starters and processing leavers
- Making salary adjustments and calculation of overtime and bonuses
- Manual calculation of statutory payments and deductions
- FPS and EPS submissions to HMRC
- Pensions administration
- Managing queries relating to pay
Requirements:
- At least three years' experience within payroll, processing from start to finish
- Excellent knowledge of payroll legislation
- Experience managing timesheets
- Ability to manually calculate payslips
- Strong knowledge of Excel is essential (including VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, Sumifs)
- Experience working with Sage Payroll is beneficial but not essential
- Adaptable to continuous change
- High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

£30,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
