Workshop Supervisor / Mazak Integrex Operator

Overall purpose of the Job
As machine shop supervisor you will have direct responsibility for the team of CNC operators.

Ensure the efficient and effective running of Gall Engineering's CNC machine's, ensuring delivery of a first-class service to our client's requirements, maintaining the highest quality and the lowest cost solution.

This position will lead the team and be a critical part of the efficient and effective running of Gall's manufacturing centres.

On-time delivery is critical, therefore planning and time-keeping are essential elements to this role.

The Workshop Supervisor must have a sound machining background, confident in programming both CNC mills and lathes to a high level, working with extremely tight tolerances and have a "right first time" work ethic.

The incumbent must be extremely hand's on across all machining cells, operating the machines, trouble-shoot when required and ensure internal and client deadlines are met.


Job knowledge and Experience
10+ year's proven experience as a CNC Machinist, 3 / 4 axis lathes and mills preferable.

Proven experience of leading/supervising a team in a CNC machining environment

Strong knowledge and experience of CNC machines (5-axis/multi-axis machines)

CNC programming experience (Mazatrol/Heidenhain/Fanuc)

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

Strong leadership skills

Excellent planning and organisational skills

Continuous improvement mind-set

Experienced in reading and writing programs in ISO (G-code) and using conversational software.

Tool selection and planning experience.

Excellent mechanical aptitude.

Drafting skills would be an advantage.

High level inspection skills using measuring equipment, CMM experience will be an advantage.

Proven work ethic.

Training and mentoring skills

Excellent communication (verbal & Written) and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work unsupervised while clearly executing instructions.

High awareness on QHSE requirements.

Valid driver's licence.

£40,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
