We have a great opportunity for a Marketing Apprentice to join the marketing team at our head office in Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan.


In this role, your main purpose will be to provide an efficient and effective support to the whole marketing team including marketing campaigns, production of materials for events, social media, website, print, market research and general administrative duties.

You will report directly to the Marketing Communications Manager and your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the marketing team in all activities including the production of materials and displays, marketing campaigns and research
  • Assisting the team with social media and website updates
  • Supporting the team in producing case studies and stories for use online and in print
  • Be a key support for the organization of events
  • Assist with the management and distribution of promotional materials to the business
  • Create and develop new innovative ways to communicate the company messages to new and existing customers
  • Assist with the management of MGF's internal digital signage and other internal communication initiatives
  • Carrying out general administration duties like data inputting, mailings and taking incoming enquiry calls
  • Handling a range of digital media, such as processing photographs, uploading videos and online content including social media, website updates and the internal media library
  • Supporting the wider business with presentation and tender support as required
  • Assisting daily with the marketing enquiries inbox and telephone calls

The core skill requirements of this role are:

  • 5 GCSE grades A-C or equivalent (5-9) including English and Maths
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • An interest in marketing
  • An effective communicator (both written and verbal)
  • Experience in a marketing department is desirable but not essential
