Job Purpose


As the Senior Client Advisor you will be responsible for providing high quality services to some of our largest and key clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of management accounts and other finance function activities.


To supervise team members providing support and review where needed, coordinating delivery and communicating progress to the managers and partner.


To embrace technology to ensure efficient and timely preparation of management information, and to ensure the whole team can spend time on tasks which add value to delivery.


To be part of a team of expert advisors who build bespoke solutions across a range of disciplines, according to client needs, from preparing management accounts to a more comprehensive fully bespoke solution such as providing on site client support.


This role offers progression opportunities to work on other financial services clients (insurance mutuals, asset management companies, foreign exchange traders) as well as be involved in business development and proposals to grow the department.


Role & Responsibilities

  • Preparation of management information packs for clients, including some with a regular consolidation requirement.
  • To provide a highquality service to the outsourcing department's client base, including the provision of support in financial accounting.
  • To be part of a team of expert advisors who build bespoke solutions across a range of disciplines, according to client needs, from simply preparing annual statutory accounts to a more comprehensive fully bespoke payroll or taxation solution.
  • Communicating effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Mentoring, supervising and training colleagues at trainee or senior level.
  • Leading the development of the junior team and developing a succession plan to ensure the correct team structure going forwards.
  • Assist in overseeing the terms and scope of any new business and preparation of proposal documents.
  • Liaising with other departments for specialist advice.
  • Engaging in business development activities.
  • Assesses and produces high quality work in line with the Firm's policy and processes, meeting relevant regulatory requirements.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • ACCA or ACA finalist/qualified with excellent broad practical accounting and statutory financial statements preparation experience.
  • Strong people management skills with a passion for developing others.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Relevant recent experience working in practice.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal and client handling skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong numerical and IT skills.
  • Beneficial to have experience of the financial services industry but not essential.
