About the Role


This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly, supportive and hard-working quality assurance team at EHU, located on the beautiful Ormskirk campus.

The Academic Quality Officer (AQO) provides professional administrative support to a team of Academic Quality and Standards Managers (AQSMs).

They provide effective support for the maintenance of high-quality data and information held in the University's external examiner database and the curriculum management system.

AQOs oversee aspects of the external examiner system; academic programme management (the approval of academic programmes of study); data collection and analysis; and the effective monitoring and review of programmes.

The ability to interrogate data sets will be essential in this role, and applicants should have an affinity with digital technologies.

The working days of this post will be Tuesday-Friday preferred, however the work pattern can be discussed at interview.


About You

As Academic Quality Officer, you will:

  • Be able to write detailed, accurate reports and minutes to a high standard.
  • Be digitally literate and have the capability to handle and interpret detailed data sets accurately and confidently.
  • Have the ability to plan workloads and organise time and resources with limited supervision.
