Information About The Role

A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Vetting team as a Vetting Officer, as a dedicated Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) Vetting Officer.

Within this role you will uphold the requirements of the Vetting Code of Practice and Authorised Professional Practice (APP) for the Police Community by administering/inputting Vetting data, investigating/researching cases and assessing results within the Central Vetting Unit.

You will process national security questionnaires in accordance with the Vetting Code of Practice and APP, utilising a third party supplier in order to grant the appropriate level of National Security Clearance required for the role.

Key Responsibilities
Applicants will need to meticulous attention to detail and be able to communicate to all levels of the business.

Despatch documentation to individuals and managers, necessary to support any risks identified in the vetting process in order to ensure any risk is mitigated where standards conflict with the Code of Practice.

You will accurately maintain/administer a central staff vetting filing system and process all related correspondence, as well as dealing with various internal departments and external organisations to facilitate enquiries.
