Overview

To support our
Heatmiser business within IMI Hydronic Engineering, we are looking for a Production Operative in our Packaging Department on a temporary contract basis, based at our site in Blackburn, Lancashire UK.

In this role you will joining a busy team, where teamwork is key.


Key responsibilities
Packers are essential workers, who play a crucial role in preparing finished products for packaging and shipment. You will ensure that items are securely wrapped and ready for delivery according to company standards.

• Packing and Labelling:
• Pack and label completed items for shipment or storage.
• Follow all company guidelines regarding packaging to ensure items arrive at their destination intact.
• Using Packaging Materials:
• Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools, padding etc.
• Seal each container securely to protect the package during transportation.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain complete records of all materials that pass through the warehouse.

Critical competencies for success

• Work Experience:
• Experience as a Packer or in a similar role would be an advantage but not essential.
• Experience in manufacturing or a related field.
• Basic Shop Skills:
• Ability to use hand tools effectively.
• Communication Skills:
• Good communication skills and a desire to work collaboratively with other team members.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
