GSL Education are looking to employ a number of

Cover Supervisor to work across mixed, nonselective schools in

Durham starting immediately or from September 2023.

As a Cover Supervisor your main responsibilities will be to:

_Supervising classes across the curriculum in the event of a teacher absence._

- _ Ensure that pupils are engaging in pre-planned work._
- _ Manage pupil behaviour to create a safe and positive learning environment._
- _ Liaise with other staff members in regard to work being set and ensure you have all suitable resources._
- _ Provide feedback to the class teacher on pupil attendance, engagement and completion of work tasks._

To be a successful Cover Supervisor you should:

Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
Have knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies (training can be provided).
Have the ability and willingness to undertake additional training and courses to enhance your professional development.
Empathise with young people and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
Have the ability to use your own initiative to work flexibly and be able to respond to different situations.
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to go through the process with us).
A full checkable work history.
In addition to that, we are currently offering £100 for the successful referral of either Teachers or Teaching Assistants_
