Description
Everybody says that they have an exciting opportunity for people, we really do.

We are opening a new 8 bedded intensive rehabilitation ward, small but hopefully with you on board, perfectly formed.

This is a new service aimed at bridging the gap for those people who fall between acute and mental health rehabilitation services.

The service will be aimed at ensuring that people's mental health is optimised and that the care in the community is available to support them following discharge.

You will have the opportunity of working with a new team to develop what is a new service that will be the first of this type in the Trust.

It is aimed at easing the flow of patients between acute mental health and the community as well as the flow between acute mental health and rehab services.

We envisage people staying for a maximum of 12 weeks.

As such it will be an outward looking service and you will have the opportunity to work with and gain a greater understanding of other part of the mental health system.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users.

As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

Band 6 Clinical team Leaders/nurses work in partnership with the people who use our services, their families, friends and carers and play an important contribution in how people experience their care and relate to other people.

Band 6 nurses are expected to be compassionate, responsive and approachable but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the service provided to the people in our care:

  • Keeping the people who use our services as safe as possible through the use of sound clinical skills and effective risk assessments;
  • Ensuring the best possible clinical outcomes by using uptodate skills and adhering to evidence based policies and procedures;
  • Empowering people through working in partnership throughout their care and treatment in the service.
  • Supporting the development of junior staff and improved care delivery through effective supervision and the use of reflective practice

We believe that the best health care is delivered by multi-disciplinary teams working together and in partnership with other teams and services to provide seamless care.

Band 6 nurses work as part of a team and you will contribute to the success of the team by drawing support from more experienced nurses and other health professionals but also by supervising other staff and students' nurses to ensure they are working to the standards which the people using our services deserve.
