Role Overview

This role will be a senior role responsible for the supporting the TPICAP Client Onboarding services.

As such, the Team Leader role will be responsible for managing a small team and ensuring the delivery of all Client Onboarding activities and associated operational tasks under the remit of the Belfast Operations Unit Business As Usual (BAU) function with extended responsibilities to assist the management and team leads develop all staff skills, cross train and act as SME in the role.


Role Responsibilities- Responsible for the effective delivery of allocated client lifecycle processes, ensuring that activities are executed to defined service levels and on a timely basis, meeting the requirements of the business- Support the Team Manager in the analysis and implementation of necessary change to client lifecycle processes (including remediation projects) required for compliance with regulatory changes- Where delegated responsibility, act as a liaison to and provide support for any internal or external audits- To support the Team manager in partnering with IT on technical developments, including requirements gathering, UAT and post-release support- Preparation and periodic completion of management information reports for allocated processes/services in preparation for senior operations management review- To support the Team manager in the ongoing identification of process improvement, system improvement and automation opportunities that will drive efficiencies and effectiveness throughout the team- Build key relationships with internal Operations stakeholders as well as Front Office Brokers- Liaise with the Anti Financial Crime in London on cases that are escalated on AML/KYC risks- Management and development of one of the Client Onboarding teams that forms part of the broader Onboarding organisation.

Talent management, training and development and succession planning for the team while ensuring strong employee engagement of what should be a highly performing, well-motivated team- Ensure that all members of the team have the relevant knowledge and training, so as to ensure that:

  • Use skills matrix to ensure there are no "single points of failure" within the team-
  • Cross training and knowledge transfer is implemented and maintained at all times-
  • All members of staff have sufficient knowledge and experience to ensure that they understand their role as a "first line of defence" and that our business remains protected.-
  • Ensure that any necessary process and procedures are documented, and maintained through any relevant changes.
Experience / Competences

Essential- Must be legally eligible to work in the UK- Self-starter, able to work on initiative and organize themselves well- Excellent communication skills - verbal & written- Great stakeholder management experience- Able to lead the team and deal with any issues that arise- Manage a team on a daily basis and complete 1:1s and performance reviews- Good knowledge/ability of use of a document management system- Use own initiative to flag any process improvements- Strong knowledge in drawing up legal documents and understanding legal language- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages

Desired- Knowledge on FIA Tech and how to use the tool- Experience writing process documents
