Locum Consultant in Trauma - Cardiff, United Kingdom - Cardiff and Vale University Health Board

Applications are invited for a full-time Locum Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in Foot & Ankle Surgery within Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.
This locum post is for a period of six months in the first instance with possible extension up to 12 months thereafter.
University Hospital of Wales is the first Major Trauma Centre to launch within Wales.The Major Trauma Centre is part of an inclusive and collaborative South West and Mid Wales Trauma Network spanning six Health Board areas.
Cardiff and Vale University Health Board is recognised as a teaching centre of excellence in a wide range of clinical services.
Applicants should preferably either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within three months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR(CP) at the time of interview.
Applicants must ensure they provide names and contact details of referees covering at least the last 3 years of their employment/training history in full.
In addition, applicants who are currently or have most recently been employed as a substantive Consultant or as a Locum Consultant in post for more than 12 months must also provide the name of their Medical Director as an additional referee.
The appointee is required to have sub-specialty interest in Foot & Ankle Surgery with a particular focus on developing the Orthopaedic Diabetic Foot service.
