Academy Coordinator


Location:
Scotstoun, Glasgow (Onsite)


Salary:
Up to £35,000 depending on skills and experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Providing great customer service to everyone who uses the Academy, including troubleshooting, visitor coordination, escorting guests, and event & conference planning & delivery
  • Supporting trainers and learners with a variety of Learning & Development activities, including coordination of learner registration, progress monitoring, certification activities, and through training reminders, materials, and pack preparation
  • Working closely with a variety of stakeholders across our Functions & Programmes, Early Careers & Skills team, and our external partners, ensuring that information and ideas are shared, and issues resolved
  • Coordinating enquiries for room bookings, capturing user requirements, and making allocation decisions to maximise efficient & effective usage of the building
  • Supporting Academy users with IT/AV, room configuration and materials management, ensuring that they are enabled to achieve their learning goals

Your skills and experiences:


Essential:


  • Strong administrative background
  • Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Good working knowledge of relevant IT Systems/Technology e.g. SharePoint and MS Office
  • Ability to utilise safe manual handling methods to configure learning space layouts

Desirable:


  • Learning and Development background
  • Events/Conference experience

The Academy Support team:


This is an exciting opportunity to get involved in the delivering and shaping of the new Naval Ships Applied Shipbuilding Academy.

You will have the chance to put your mark on the space and bring your own ideas to shape the future of shipbuilding on the Clyde.

As an Academy Coordinator you will have an incredibly varied role and have the opportunity to interact with a range of different stakeholders both internally and externally, this could be through working with the learners, academic stakeholders and communications team to attending events and guiding visitors through the site.

Reporting into the Academy Manager you will get to play a key part in one of the currently most talked about projects in the Naval Ships business unit.
