Description

We are looking for 1 x Full time 37.5 hrs motivated individual with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills who are dedicated to working as part of our friendly team.

Cancer Support Trackers work within the Cancer Services team and are responsible for the timely tracking of cancer patients through referral, diagnosis and treatment.

The Trust is responsible for tracking hundreds of cancer patient pathways at any time.

This requires diligence and patience and good communication skills to expedite diagnostic tests, procedures & admissions, both within the Trust and with other hospitals.

You will use various IT systems, be expected to understand the national and local targets affecting Cancer Access and be able to manage pathways efficiently in accordance with these timescales.

You will assist the MDT Co-ordinators, Clinical Teams and Cancer Managers to support in the delivery of safe and effective services for patients.

You should have a keen eye for detail, be able to enter data accurately onto the relevant hospital systems and ensure patient records are kept up to date at all times.

Cancer Services is a fast paced working environment where employees are very much part of a team.

Due the nature of the service there is the opportunity to learn many transferable skills, expand your knowledge of patient pathways and build excellent rapports with colleagues on all levels throughout the Trust and at tertiary centres.

Whilst this is not a patient facing role the team is instrumental in the patient's pathway.
