Are you a qualified Teaching Assistant?

Would you like to work in an Ofsted-rated 'Good' primary school in Warrington?


In partnership with one of our Warrington-based primary schools, Tradewind is searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant.


The successful Teaching Assistant will work with, and support children on a 1-1 and small group basis, under the direction of the teaching staff.

Some of these children will have learning difficulties and special educational needs (SEN) so it is important that you are able to differentiate teaching and learning.

You will also be required to lead your own sessions outside of the classroom, as and when needed.


The person appointed will:


  • Have experience of working with children in an educational setting and it would be desirable to have some experience of working with children with SEN
  • Be committed to the education and wellbeing of all the students in the school
  • Have experience of implementing interventions and strategies to overcome barriers to learning in order to speed up academic progress
  • Be a team player with a good sense of humour
  • Have a sensitive but enthusiastic approach

Essential requirements:


  • Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Hold an Enhanced Child workforce DBS on the update service or are willing to undertake a new one
  • Full and complete 10year career history
  • Minimum of 2 references including your most recent employment reference
  • Legal right to work in the UK
