What You'll Do:
- Supporting the Events and Media divisions of the business by providing commercially sound advice on legal issues in relation to commercial and revenue generating opportunities.
- Proactively working with the legal team (London and International colleagues) to ensure that best practice and knowledge is understood, shared and utilised amongst the team.
- Advising clients on terms that are as robust and favourable as possible to the Company.
- Liaise with the business so that commercial, pragmatic and salient advice and guidance on business opportunities and risk can be followed at all times.
- Working proactively and closely with the business to ensure that colleagues are aware of the importance of involving the Legal team at the outset in any commercial opportunity or discussion.
- Assisting with new projects as and when they arise.
- The role will involve Events work on a range of sports and nonsports properties, across our owned, managed and commercially represented Events portfolio.
- Occasional travel to other offices in London will be required.
- Occasionally there will be late calls to facilitate meetings and briefings with the wider global legal team.
- You may also be required to work some unsociable hours to meet business deadlines.
You Have These:
- Fully qualified Solicitor
- 24 years PQE
- Experience of drafting general commercial contracts.
- Worked in a commercial environment.
- Training in top tier legal practice.
- The ability to assimilate and understand salient points of commercial opportunities with both speed and accuracy.
- Excellent written and spoken English with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle and prioritise a varied and heavy workload with the ability to plan ahead.
- Able to work to deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
- Able to communicate clearly and concisely with clients of all levels both internally and externally.
- Team orientated and focused.
- Ability to develop rapport with immediate and wider colleagues.
- Disciplined, hardworking and committed.
- An enthusiasm for and interest in sport, media and entertainment
We'd Love If You Also Have These:
- Experience of drafting media rights/production, sponsorship, supplier, agency representation and venue hire contracts.
- Experience of working with cultural and sports organisations.
- Experience of working with high level executives in own and client/customer organisations.
- Has an interest in sport, media and live events.
Working Conditions:
- Permanent, Location Chiswick Park
- Working hours are: 9am5pm
- Working days are: Mon-Fri
