On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking a highly experienced and skilled Health and Safety Officer to join their team.

As the Health and Safety Officer, you will be responsible for coordinating, supporting, and advising our client's business on all aspects of Health and Safety.




Schedule:
Monday-Friday


Salary:
£35,000- £40,000


Your main responsibilities will include:


  • Establishing, managing, and monitoring standards, processes, communications, training, and systems to ensure that all Health and Safety responsibilities within the company are adhered to.
  • Ensuring a safe workplace environment without risk to health and that all Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are adhered to and regularly reviewed, updated, and communicated.
  • Ensuring that the company meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety, and welfare at work, including statutory training and reporting.
  • Completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations for both staff and contractors, as well as documenting all accidents, investigating them, and implementing recommended improvements.
  • In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be coordinating the development of Health and Safety policies, systems of work, and procedures, ensuring full and accurate Health and Safety and training records are maintained, and establishing a full program of documented Health and Safety inspections, audits, and checks such as boilers, alarms, and PAT testing.
  • At least three years of recent and relevant experience in a similar role, with experience providing advice to managers/supervisors, handling Health and Safety investigations, and formulating, implementing, and revising Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Be NEBOSH (General Certificate) qualified or have equivalent accreditation.
  • Have experience of implementing and monitoring Fire Risk Assessments, and be COSHH trained.
