We're Hiring in London for an experienced Staff Counsel for a world-leading Telecoms company.

Duties:


  • Creating, negotiating, and finalising
    commercial agreements across all business verticals
  • Offering legal guidance within the business in the introduction of new suppliers
  • Supporting the business on RFI/RFP documents
  • Representing the business in facetoface negotiations with suppliers and customers
  • Preparing support documents and advice aimed at informing colleagues of relevant regulations related to data privacy, corporate governance, and intellectual property
  • Engaging and supervising external legal support where necessary
  • Constantly review current processes and guidelines to make improvements where possible
  • Developing compliance initiatives to be used across the business
  • Work with the business leaders to ensure they are fully supported
  • Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice to your employer and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector and their products or services
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements
  • Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures.
  • Promoting legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company
  • Communicating with and managing any thirdparty bodies such as external counsel or auditors
  • Designing and delivering legal training to the business
  • Staying uptodate with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules, and regulations that directly affect your business and specific industry

Skills Required:

  • A degree in Law allows you to practice law in England and Wales
  • Experience working as an inhouse lawyer
  • Experience dealing with commercial law
  • Excellent communication skills
