About Dimension

The Senior Unreal QA role
Virtual Production projects require a unique style of quality assurance. We work on incredible projects involving vast amounts of digital content. Our work includes delivering many virtual production services such as mocap, visualisation, simulcam, vcam, and LED volumes. Particularly for ICVFX, our content has to be of the highest visual quality while maintaining performance and reliability. There are alot of considerations to making content that works well when shot on an LED wall.

As a Senior Unreal QA you'll be joining an established and growing QA team within the Content Management department of our Virtual Production division.

As this grows you'll be providing your technical expertise and acting as a support to the QA manager as well as the junior members of the team.

Key responsibilities for the Senior Unreal QA role

  • Within the QA team, you will work closely with Build Supervisors and Art Leads to ensure that quality is achieved and issues are addressed.
  • Profiling performance over time to monitor progress and spot issues as they arise. Tracking tasks to ensure that issues are fixed and benchmarks are achieved. • Creating QA reports for content outlining the current status and surfacing any important details to the wider team. Allowing production to keep the project on track and enabling artists to make informed changes to their work. Validating that content meets our standards, expectations, and specifications.
  • Keeping the team accountable for ensuring their work follows best practices and reaches the quality and performance guidelines.
  • Working alongside developers and the QA Manager to enable the streamlining and automation of testing. Allowing us to improve our speed and efficiency. Identifying potential workflow and pipeline improvements.
  • Helping to define and document processes enabling us to scale the QA team over time. Creating templates for reports to allow us to structure information in a clear and consistent way. Helping to train and mentor junior QA hires to ensure they have the skills and knowledge they need.
