Description
We are looking for an experienced administration assistant to join the clinical administration and clerical team within the Respiratory Medicine specialty.
This post offers excellent opportunities for an enthusiastic and conscientious person to provide comprehensive administration for our post-covid out-patient services.
- Monitor and action referrals into the service; use hospital systems to book/manage appointments and generate appointment letters
- Coordinate investigations as required to run alongside clinical assessments
- Ensure all relevant documentation is prepared and provided to the clinical team prior to clinic
- Be point of contact for patient enquiries, providing a professional, competent and efficient service with care, support and compassion
- Provide general administrative support to the clinical team including Specialist Nurses, Consultants, Psychologists and Physiologist
- Produce and format consultation letters to a high professional standard
- General administration for the service including filing, scanning and saving files, photocopying etc
- Make/receive calls to/from GP's and other NHS professionals in a friendly, helpful and professional manner
- Investigate and extract information from clinic letters accurately and maintain spreadsheets to provide data for national submission
- Provide cover and support to the wider administrative team
Leadership and Improvement Training
