This is an exciting role to lead our Global Operations (GO) New Business team, a high profile and critical function working across Operations business areas to understand and assess the impact of new business requirements.


The team is responsible for ensuring new business for Global Operations is understood and implemented in a controlled and disciplined manner.


  • The Head of Global Operations New Business is responsible for the day to day management and leadership of the New Business Process.
  • GO New Business exists to protect GO and the bank from heightened operational risk resulting from the introduction of new business. The role supports GO globally and is responsible for managing New Business Leads in EMEA, APAC and the Americas.
  • The role holder is expected to:
  • Work closely with the New Business team in the Swiss Bank. The role is critical to ensure holistic impact and risk assessment across GO, effective challenge and escalation.
  • Manage work closely with all members of the Ops Management Committee and to present the monthly New Business update at the monthly Ops change governance meeting.
  • Attend Global New Business forums as delegate for Designated Approvers, providing transparency and escalation where necessary.
  • Provide UK Senior Manager Oversight on any UK impacted initiatives, and oversight meetings with APAC & AMRS to ensure transparency of any UK impact within the Global BOW.
  • Identify various opportunities to drive efficiencies across regions.
  • The role holder would also be responsible for objective setting and defining the strategy and vision across the globally located team.
  • The role holder may be expected to hold delegated signoff authority on behalf of specific N3s.

Your skills and experience
This is a highly challenging role. You must have a strong risk and control focus, an eye for quality and detail and outstanding communication skills.

  • Proven work experience, preferably in an Operations or similar support function.
  • Commercial and Operational understanding of the business areas across finance.
  • Exposure to multiple products and ability to demonstrate in depth knowledge in at least one is desirable.
  • Highly motivated individual capable of working independently in a dynamic environment. Proven ability to manage work well under pressure
  • Risk focused with strong analytical abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skillset with the ability to influence stakeholders/ business partners, communicate effectively in verbal and written form and build working relationships with all corporate titles across the organisation.
  • Comfortable to present to senior audiences on a regular basis, and adapt presentation skills accordingly.
