Cherwell Valley Silos Ltd, a long-standing manufacturer of high-quality feedstuffs for the animal feed market, is looking for a talented and driven individual to join the team as a Technical Sales & Quality Control Manager.

Cherwell Valley Silos Ltd is a well known, long-standing and respected manufacturer of high quality feedstuffs for supply to all sectors of the animal feed market.

We manufacture both commodity and bespoke products, predominantly focussed on the pig andpoultry sector, but also to the equine market.


Due to impending retirement, a position has arisen at our manufacturing facility near Banbury in Oxfordshire for a
Technical Sales and Quality Control Manager.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Monitoring and controlling incoming raw materials
  • Quality control of finished products
  • Adherence to feed assurance and safety legislation
  • Sales and sales support of finished products by direct customer contact


Initially, you will work under the supervision of the Technical Sales Manager and the Trading Manager during the training and familiarisation period (some external training may also be necessary).

You will work closely with the Operations Manager, ProductionSupervisors and Production staff, as well as the Weighbridge Operator.


Following the training period, you will be responsible for monitoring production output to ensure that the specified product quality is produced at all times.

You should also become proficient and familiar with the sales process and, ultimately, will bethe No2 to our Trading Manager and offer holiday and sickness cover.


About You

  • A degree in a scientific discipline
  • Understanding of agriculture, farming, or livestock
  • Handson approach and willingness to work in the laboratory
  • Full driving license
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
The role is based in our laboratory near Banbury and requires a full-time commitment.

It's an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in the industry or a recent graduate looking to start a career in agriculture.

Training and support will be provided, and there is room for growth and development within the company.
