Permanent Contract, Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00, 40 hours per week, Onsite: location Stretford, Manchester.


We're looking for a proven Supply Chain professional to join our growing company as a
Team Leader in Operations, whilst also supporting on activities related to our business processes and Integrated Management System.


Gleave is a supplies specialist providing +8000 SKU's, from a wide range of UK and overseas suppliers, to meet the requirements of large customer contracts and strict performance KPI's.

Responsibilities:


  • Provides supervisory support for the supply chain team which is primarily responsible for placing and chasing orders with suppliers, requesting and reviewing pricing and monitoring supplier performance, to enable high levels of customer satisfaction to be achieved.
  • Provides supervisory support for the customer service team responsible for processing orders from contract customers, confirming delivery dates and liaising with customers throughout the order to delivery process.
  • Supports on a range of HSEQ related tasks as part of the ongoing maintenance of our Integrated Management Systems. Working with Internal Managers and our External HSEQ Consultants, to ensure that the company's policies and procedures meet the legislative and accrediting bodies requirements, to maintain and improve required certifications to support the business.

Supply Chain responsibilities:


  • Raising & expediting orders efficiently, addressing nonconformances, ensuring good stock availability.
  • Reviewing and actioning the daily suggested order report, actioning min/max level requirements
  • Monitoring, reviewing and managing slow or nonmoving stock
  • Monitoring and reviewing shelflife of relevant products and taking corrective action
  • Logging and challenging supplier costs increases, preparing information for the product team / commercial team to negotiate and mitigate supplier cost increases
  • Maintaining trade agreement validity, effectively and efficiently
  • Monitoring, reviewing and managing imports, inc. clearance, VAT, duty, payments & invoices
  • Inspecting and resolving quarantined product issues

Customer Service

  • Logging enquiries and customer details in the ERP system
  • Processing customer orders effectively and efficiently
  • Managing the customer issues log, investigate and resolve customer issues immediately, identifying issues for quarantine, engaging with relevant Managers to ensure timely resolution of all issues and relevant feedback to customers to maintain satisfaction levels
  • Liaising with internal teams to ensure customer orders are satisfied on time, and if otherwise proactively provide delivery information and / or alternative solutions

IMS

  • Monitoring and controlling HSEQ nonconformances and issues raised during audits; progressing corrective action plans within operations to ensure timely closure and continued compliance.
  • Establishing and maintaining clear and concise reporting procedures including analysing Customer and Quarantine issues and putting actions in place to prevent reoccurrences.
  • Representing the company at HSEQ certification assessments and audits.
  • Monitoring and maintaining the site maintenance schedule, coordinating timely completion of routine tasks
