About the role


This role will entail all aspects of the monthly management accounts preparation, plus forecasting, analysis, production of journals, stakeholder management, and supporting sustainability reporting.


Sustainability is one of our key business objectives and we are working very hard across all disciplines of the business to be market leaders in this space and we are well on our way to achieving our ambitions.


What do my tasks look like?

  • Daily sales reporting.
  • Preparation of the monthly management accounts.
  • Working with purchase ledger and credit control teams to ensure timely month end close and reporting.
  • Producing and posting month and year end accruals, prepayments, and other journals.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Agreeing on intercompany balances.
  • Maintaining fixed asset register.
  • Monthly meeting with cost centre heads to review opex and capex spending to date against budget and forecast for the rest of the year.
  • Ownership of the annual overheads and capex budget process, including liaising with cost centre heads.
  • Cashflow forecasting.
  • Support inyear planning and forecasting,
  • Preparation of quarterly VAT returns.
  • Assist with yearend statutory accounts preparation and external audit requirements.
  • Completion of annual P11Ds in partnership with HR.
  • Calculating sales commissions.
  • Engage with stakeholders to assist with commercial analysis as required.
  • Support the Sustainability Manager to provide relevant data for ESG reporting.

  • Keen to learn and develop, part
- or newly-qualified ACCA/CIMA (bespoke study support package available).

  • Proficiency with Excel.
  • Organised and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to present confidently.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

What are my hours and working days?


This is a 39 hour a week, permanent role working Monday to Friday with no weekend work and hours 8.30am to 5pm.

(Flexible start and finish times within core working hours).

This is a hybrid role with an expectation of working from our offices at least once a week.
