The duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the children in their day to day routines
  • Planning and providing the children with learning and play activities to extend their development
  • Observing the children and contributing towards observations and learning journeys
  • Supporting the children in the outdoor play area, ensuring learning is brought outside
  • Helping and supporting the children at mealtimes throughout the day
  • Keeping the children safe at all times
  • Any other duties required by the manager
  • Having lots of fun

Training to be provided

  • Level 2 or 3 ( Depending on experience / qualification ) Early Years Apprenticeship Standard.

  • Using own initiative
  • Work well within a team
  • Basic understanding of childcare
  • Willing to work outdoors to support the safety of children and other staff members

Desired qualifications

  • GCSE English and maths grade A*C or 94 (Or equivalent) desired but not essential as we will support you to achieve them.

  • Further development of skills through additional training

Things to consider
Training is delivered remotely via teams at the workplace. There is no travelling involved for training.
