At Julian Charles, we specialize in beautifully crafted soft furnishings, high-quality bedding, luxurious duvets, pillows, scatter cushions, and home accessories to elevate every home's decor.

We are currently seeking a dedicated retail assistant to join our team at the PENNELLS STORE located within Pennells Garden Centre. This is a permanent position offering up to 10 hours per week with flexibility required over all 7 days (specific hours to be confirmed by the Manager).

The ideal candidate will work closely with the Manager and team members, demonstrating a passion for customer service, attention to detail, and a talent for visual merchandising. Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, is essential.


Key Responsibilities Include:



WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

- Collaborate with the Manager and team members, following merchandising guidelines and handling deliveries efficiently.

DRIVING AND MAXIMIZING SALES:

- Utilize product knowledge, sales techniques, and excellent customer service to meet the business needs.

HEALTH AND SAFETY:

- Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.



GENERAL DUTIES:

  • Housekeeping
  • General administration
  • Cash handling/banking procedures (where applicable)

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 10 per week

Salary: £7.49-£10.42 per hour

Experience:

  • Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
