Town view is a Short Breaks service in Beverley, providing support for up to 14 adults who have a learning disability and other associated physical health needs.

It is therefore crucial that all post holders has a sound value base that respects people's individuality and diversity in order to ensure that good quality person centred care is provided to all service users who access Town View.


We are looking for a self-motivated, positive, and committed person to join our Care Officer team, taking responsibility for leading shifts and supervising staff, amongst other designated responsibilities.

The post is 32 hours a week and there will be an expectation to work evenings and alternative weekends. Hours of work could vary between 7am and 11pm.


Duties will include leading shifts on a day to day basis to ensure people are supported with their all their identified needs; medication administration and recording; health and safety monitoring; staff supervision, liaising with families and other professionals, attending reviews and other meetings, and working in collaboration with the manager, colleagues, and other professionals to maintain good quality monitoring and team planning systems, to ensure the service meets CQC fundamental standards.


You will have experience of working in a care setting and must have a good working knowledge of the fundamental care standards, how these are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and the responsibilities of a registered service in relation to upholding these.

You will also have a good working knowledge of legislation such as Mental Capacity Act 2005, The Care Act 2014, Data Protection Act, Health and Safety at Work Act and sound knowledge around safeguarding of vulnerable adults.

In addition to this, a good understanding of Covid-19 related residential home guidance will also be an advantage.
