Scientist II

Permanent, Full-Time

REED Scientific are working with a renowned international provider of Laboratory Services and Products. They have offices in the UK, EU and USA.


About the Job
They are searching for a
Scientist II to take up a varied and interesting role supporting NGS projects. The successful applicant will have excellent laboratory experience and a good base knowledge of
Next Generation Sequencing.


Duties including:


  • Working to an accredited quality management system
  • DNA/RNA extraction techniques
  • Sample QC (fluorometric and electrophoretic methods)
  • NGS library preparation for Illumina or Oxford Nanopore platforms
  • Library pooling and normalisation
  • Operation of NGS instruments, particularly Illumina/ ONT platforms
  • Automation of laboratory processes

Skills/experience:


  • Degree or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience in an NGS role
