We are looking for a
Database Administrator to join our team.


As a Database Administrator you will be responsible for maintaining the performance, security, integrity, and availability of our company's databases.

You will work within our Data Platforms team and collaborate with our Data Engineers, Application Management and other development teams to ensure the optimal operation and integrity of our databases.

What you'll bring to the role

  • Demonstrated experience with SQL databases, particularly MS SQL Server, MySQL, AWS Aurora, and ideally Google Big Query (GBQ).
  • Strong understanding of database architecture, design, and management principles.
  • Proficiency in database monitoring tools, backup and recovery tools, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Knowledge of repository management for maintaining code.
  • An active interest in understanding business context and requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams, stakeholders, and internal customers.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable skills

  • Familiarity with programming languages, particularly PHP and Python, or ETL processes, preferably Fivetran and DBT.
  • Interest in data pipelines and experience with reporting and visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, provide reliable estimates, and prioritize tasks in a multidemand environment.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
