  • Manoeuvring articulated HGVs, including coupling/decoupling and reversing into parking spaces.
  • Using a forklift in either an outdoor or indoor environment.
  • Shunting trailers around site.
  • Unloading/loading curtainsider trailers using MHE/FLT equipment.
  • Recording customer returns accurately and keeping stock organised.
  • Emptying exterior bins on site into skips using MHE/FLT equipment.
  • Conducting basic maintenance on equipment such as replacing headlight bulbs on HGVs, refilling screenwash and refuelling FLTs.
  • Keeping the yard/shed tidy and reporting hazards.
  • Ensuring stock is safe to transport and manually handling product when required and safe to do so.
  • Reporting defects on equipment and locking off defective trailers.
  • Keep accurate records of equipment that has been locked off.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work alone and selfmanage time for efficiency.
  • HGV experience and/or current license preferred.
  • FLT experience preferred.
  • Fluent understanding of English (returns need to be recorded in handwriting).
  • Basic IT skills.
