Join Pantheon Ventures as an Associate, Fund Finance - Private Equity:

Pantheon Ventures is a leading multi-strategy investment firm managing over $90B in assets. We are seeking a talented and motivated
Associate, Fund Finance to join our Private Equity team in London. This role offers the opportunity to engage in a wide range of job functions supporting our investment platform, playing a pivotal role in launching new funds and products within our well-established, global firm.


Purpose of Position:


As an Associate in our Fund Finance team, you will work closely with the VP, Fund Finance, and the Private Equity teams.

Your contributions will be essential to our fund finance activities, including fund administrator accounting oversight, fund audits, reporting, valuation procedures, and other key operational processes.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial & Operational Support: Partner with Private Equity teams to meet business objectives.

Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers.

New Structures/Funds Set-Up: Support the creation of new funds, ensuring proper operating frameworks.

Fund Accounting Review: Ensure high-quality financial deliverables and accurate financial statements.

Expense & Fee Review: Approve fund expenses and management/performance fees.

Reporting: Assist in delivering fund and regulatory reporting.

Third-Party Oversight: Manage relationships with fund administration providers and other service providers.

Audit Support: Liaise with external auditors to address and complete audit queries on time.

Capital Events: Review and approve capital calls, distributions, and equalizations.

Control & Risk Frameworks: Adhere to and refine control and risk procedures.

Ad-Hoc Projects: Participate in various projects and tasks as needed.

Transaction Support: Ensure smooth transaction closings for acquisitions and new entities.

Investment Team Meetings: Attend meetings to stay informed on current deal pipelines and coordinate operational requirements.

Fund Sales, Extensions, Liquidations: Assist with these processes as needed.


Knowledge and Experience Required:


Technical:


  • Recognized accounting qualification with strong accounting skills.
  • Broad knowledge of private markets, especially funds of funds or Private Equity.
  • Customerfocused with a background in fund accounting/operations.
  • Experience in designing and understanding internal control frameworks.
  • Ability to present processes, controls, and procedures clearly.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficient in Excel.
