We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Team Leader, Material Planning within our Supply Chain team to support our Automotive business.

Our automotive products fall into three primary groups:Seating and Lumbar support, Motors and Actuators, and Mechanical Cables.

The purpose of this position is to support the Customer Service Manager and lead the Materials Planners to order the right raw materials and components in advance of production while minimizing inventory.
What will you be doing as a Team Leader - Material Planning?
- Management responsibility for branch Materials Planners.
- Responsible for raw material and component supply to the branches (interco + external).
- Responsible for releasing purchase orders with enough leadtime to ensure schedule attainment.
- Responsible for managing out of branch supply exceptions (supplier issue, logistic issue, demand spike).
- Responsible for inventory planning process.
- Participant in the IBP process Branch and Supply reviews.
What you'll need to be successful:
- Bachelor's degree or previous experience in a supply chain role
- Material planning or other operations/supply chain experience
- People leadership experience
- Problem solving experience
- Able to take initiative to get the tasks successfully completed
- Ability to mange conflicting and multiple priorities
- Computer and system proficiency
- Teamwork
